The new Volvo S60 indeed has great looks and drives pretty well (for a Volvo . But the car seems badly designed when it comes to the backward sight ! Broad consoles left and right and the steep bending rear window create massive dead angles – the video assistance for driving backwards misses all elements left and right at the sides of the drive-way. Another dead angle.

To my opinion this means a severe lack of security, not at all combinable with the name of Volvo. So Volvo-designers – get in the car, drive a day in Amsterdam, and one hour backwards in a small ally and redesign !
